GISMA Business School
German International Graduate School of Management and Administration or the GISMA Business School was founded in 1999 on the initiative of Gerhard Schröder, former German Chancellor. It was established with the assistance of the State of Lower Saxony and many other organizations like Georgsmarienhütte, Continental, Nord/LB, TUI, Siemens, and Volkswagen. Until August 2013, the institution was being financed and operated as a private/public partnership, partially by sponsoring companies and partially by the State of Lower Saxony. In August 2013, Global University Systems (GUS) acquired GISMA and made it a part of the GUS global alliance of higher education institutions.
GISMA Business School has four campuses; three of them are located across Germany in Hannover, Berlin, and Hamburg, and one is situated in London. Located in the center of the city overlooking the River Leine, the Hannover campus is the institution's first campus and boasts of a first-rate infrastructure. The Berlin campus is located in the city center and provides students with all modern facilities. The Hamburg campus is located in the second-largest German city and offers a chance to delve into the country's cultural aspects. The latest London campus is situated in the heart of the city. All the campuses have been designed to provide students with an environment that encourages efficient teaching and learning.
GISMA Business School provides numerous postgraduate degree, undergraduate degree and foundation programs along with many short courses in various disciplines of business like agribusiness, management, accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, health care, and social science. It hosts students from more than 40 countries across the world. The business school maintains collaborations with several well-reputed local and international educational institutions like Arden University in the UK, Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) in France, Kingston University in the UK and The University of Law in the UK.
GISMA Business School has produced numerous qualified and talented graduates many of who have successfully made their place in various fields. Utz Claassen has worked at top positions in several prestigious firms like EnBW and Volkswagen. Abigail Spanberger used to be a CIA operations officer. Nan Chen works at Sennheiser as the junior product manager. Narendra Lokireddy graduated in 2015 and secured an internship at Axalta Coating Systems Germany. Roula Harb, another graduate from the 2015 batch, secured an internship at Sennheiser's department of Customer Development and Application Engineering. Emadeldin Fawaz works at Medexo GmbH as the head of international business development. Luis-Fernando Esteban is the founder of TourSnapp. The institution has several other successful alumni.
